Why Can't I Stop Falling to Sin
Sunday, September 20, 2015
- Know and Accept Your Pride. Don't imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call "humble" nowadays: he won't be a sort of greasy, smarmy person, who's always telling you that, of course, he's nobody. Probably all you'll think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him. If you do dislike him, it will be because you feel a bit envious of anyone who seems to enjoy life so easily. He won't be thinking about himself at all. There I must stop. If anyone would like to acquire humility, I can, I think, tell him the first step. The first step is to realize that one is proud. And a biggish step, too. At least, nothing whatever can be done before it. If you think you're not conceited, it means you are very conceited indeed. --C.S. Lewis You can’t resolve a problem if you yourself don’t know it exists.
- Always say – Thank you!. "Pride slays thanksgiving, but a humble mind is the soil out of which thanks naturally grow. A proud man is seldom a grateful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves." - Henry Ward Beecher There is always something about expressing gratitude that removes our focus to ourselves and places them on the gifts we have received and also the people who have shared their blessings to us.
- Exercise Servanthood. An individual who is genuinely great is always ready to be treated less important. But pride always rebuffs servanthood, it’s because a prideful person wants to be catered always. Serving our neighbors entails us to center our attention on their necessities instead of our own, and this reminds us also that we are a portion of something larger than ourselves.
- Laugh Out Loud at Yourself. “I laugh at myself. I don't take myself completely seriously. I think that's another quality that people have to hold on to... you have to laugh, especially at yourself.” ― Madonna When you start to search for the funniness in your situation and behavior, you see it everywhere. Proud people are too serious. Through laughing out loud at yourself, you start to realize how silly you can be sometimes.

Chose life, chose Christ…!
Key Verse: Luke 10:38-42
Life is a matter of choice. What you do today will bring great impact to what you will be tomorrow.
Does your choices right now accords with God’s choice or the other way around? What is really God’s choice for you? Do you follow it or you too have your own way? Is it really God’s will that you are taking or just simply your own?
Make your best choice in life before the door close.
Take up your own cross and follow Christ…
I. Choice – the act of choosing, the power of choosing, the right, power, or opportunity to choose; option, something that is preferred or preferable to others; the best part of something
God gave us this choice… Genesis 3:
II. God’s Choice
God wants us to have life or live…(Gen 3:2-3), (John 3:16), (John 10:10), (Mat 7:13- 14), (John 3:36, 6:43&47, 10:27-8
God wants us to be ready for His coming (Mat. 3:3, 4:17),(Luke 12:40)
God wants us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth… (John 4:24),(Rev. 22:9)
God wants us to be free… (John 8:32, 8:36)
God wants us to be blessed… (Mat 3: 3 – 10)
God wants us to praise Him by shining our light in this world (Mat 5:14)
God wants us to get into heaven (Mat. 5:20, John 3:5)
God wants us to give importance to the heavenly things (Mat. 6:19-21)
God wants us to seek Him first before anything else (Mat 6:33)
God wants us to have faith… (Mark 11:22), (John 6:29 & 7:38, 14:12-14)
God wants us to love Him above all things (Mark 12:30)
God wants us to be wise… (Mark 13:5, 33)
God wants us to be His disciples… (Luke 14:25-33), (John 8:31)
God wants us to disciple the world… (Mat 28:19-20)
God wants us to come to Him… (Rev. 22:17)
III. Satan’s Choice
Satan wants us to die… (Gen 3:2-3),
Satan wants us to suffer… (Job 2:4-6)
Satan wants us to worship him (Mat. 4:8)
Satan wants us snatch us from God… (John 10:10)
IV. Our Choices
We have a choice between sin and life… (Gen 3:2-3),
We have a choice between life and death… (Mat 5:13, 22-5, 29-30, 6: 1, 14, 7:13-14, 10: 39, 11:15, 28-30, 13:15, 16:24, 17:20-21, 18:2-4, 20:26-27, 21:22, 24:13), (Mark 3:29), (Luke 6:46-49, 10:38-42), (John 15:5-6, 8: 24)
We have a choice to between God and Satan…
V. Consequences of our Choices…
Heaven - Psalm 16:11, John 14:1-3, Philippians 3:20-21,
Hell - Matthew 5:22, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 10:28, Mark 9:44, 2 Thessalonians 1:9
VI. Bible Characters who had their best choice…
Abraham continues to follow despite his old age… (Gen. 12:4-5)
Moses chose to be God’s messenger despite his defects… (Gen. 4:10)
Joseph chose to forgive than to become bitter towards his brother…
Job chose to stand on God’s side…
Daniel chose to pray to God than to the other god…
Paul chose to follow God than his own way…
Jesus chose to follow God’s will than His will…
Look at it this way. You have a child. That child has free will, but you have more experience. You tell the child not to touch the hot burner on the stove. The child now has a choice will he follow your commandment or won't he. If he chooses to disobey you and touch the burner, he is going to get burned. This will not make him happy.
The same thing goes for us and our relationship with God. Compared to Him, we are as children. He has the much greater knowledge and wisdom. So, He gives us commandments, not to curtail our freedom or to keep us from being happy, but because He knows what is best for us. The commandments that He gives us provide the path through this life that will allow us to avoid most of the pitfalls and sorrows thereby allowing us to lead the happiest possible lives in mortality and to ultimately return to live with Him for eternity. We all still have a choice as to whether we will follow Him. He will not force salvation on any of us, but He has laid out the best path through this life.

My silent cry...

Blot out the day of my birth and the night when my parents created a daughter
Forget about that day, cover it with darkness and send thick, gloomy shadows to fill it with dread, Lord
Why didn't I die at birth?
I wish I had been born dead and then buried, never to see the light of the day
In the world of the dead, the wicked and the weary rest without worry
Why do You let me live when life is miserable and bitter?
Moaning and groaning are my food ad drink and my worst fears have all com true
I have no peace or rest- only the troubles and worries
Why is life so hard? Why do we suffer?
We are slaves in search of shade; we are laborers longing for our wages
I am sick of life!
I am sick at heart and pain has taken its toll
Suffering has scorched my skin, my stomach is tied in knots; my bones are burning; pain is my daily companion
And in myself I cry out, making a mournful sounds like jackals and owls
My life is speeding by without a hope of happiness
Each day passes swifter than sailing ship or a eagle swooping down
Sometimes I try to be cheerful and stop from complaining
but my sufferings frighten me
My life is drawing to an end, hope has disappeared
I cannot find God anywhere - in front or back of me, to my left or right
(God is always at work though I never see Him)

Pain is a friend not an enemy...
It's all I have right now...
It's what my heart speaks...
It's what cause my loneliness...
It's the reason behind my silence...
It's what my body shout about...
It's the pain of loosing you...
It's the pain of loosing my heart...
It's the pain of loosing my nights thinking of you...
It's the pain of loosing my dreams...
It's the pain of loosing and forgetting my love for you...
But anyways, God maybe has a purpose for this pain...
Maybe we are not really meant for each other...
Maybe you really belong to her...
Maybe she really deserves you...
Maybe God wants me to stop my crazy illusion of you...
Maybe you really don't suit in my heart, it just so happen that I like you, that I love you somehow...
That's why I'm grieving this pain...
But I believe God will help me out with this...
And there is only thing I would love to do before leaving...
Somehow you'll know how much I like...
The whole you...
Goodbye Piolo...

If only I could do something to make people understand me, accepts me, and love me for who I am.
